About me

Activity

I believe that the following is true; especially in the group setting. Research has shown that good everyday teaching practices can do more to counter student apathy than special efforts to attack motivation directly (Ericksen, 1978). Most students respond positively to a well-organized course taught by an enthusiastic instructor who has a genuine interest in students and what they learn. Thus activities you undertake to promote learning will also enhance students' motivation.
We in the education department at our campus work with the Campus Student service cepartment as a team to engage students in various campus activities such as: Student Drag Racing Special Bowling nights Go kart racing Adapt -a Highway Volunteer opportunities with local dirt track race teams Blood Drives Habitat for humanity

The number one thing about retention that stands out to me is the importance of teamwork among all departments found on campus!
This module has reinforced in my mind the important concept of choice. Each day all of us in our individual daily lives are forced to make choices in regards to how we use time in the most efficient ways possible. This module has helped me to reconsider my own priorities and provided focus on the skills of time management in my life.
In my opinion, a key important part of developing as an instructor is to gain experience in different instructional classroom and lab environments.Remember your students want the information that you their instructor are able to provide them. Remember to have fun and display your passion for the subject matter to your students.
