I am always seeking new avenues in getting and keeping students interested in participation. When you give an assignmement, you expect some discussion/feedback the next return. Many are hesistant in fear of saying something that others may not agree or want to hear. Any more suggestions?

Goals and objectives have to be clear for all students is such a reality. Students are looking for the main attraction upon entering a classroom. If these are clear, it has such a dramatic lasting effect and students generally do much better and look forward to coming to your class.

I enjoyed this 1st session "developing as an Instructor" and the section on professionalism. It is especially true upon entering a classroom with proper attire and subject matter knowledge. The student certainly observe this and pay close attention to this as well. They also make comments about your professionalism and subject matter as well to other students. Excellent area of interest and I will continue.

I must say that I was surprised somewhat to know that attention span of adult was 15min or more. I was thinking that it was much less. thank you.

Hi to all:

I have just completed the course ED104.  It was a very interesting course and  I was very happy to view it. 

What I learned from the course was how to guide interaction with silent students with others and yet make them feel they are part of the class.  Also, I truly will be to share knowledge learned about angry students and what my response would be.  The ideas were excellent.

How to apply it?   I plan to apply this knowledge each in my classroom.  I know right now they are going to be charged and much excitement generated with these… >>>
