I just completed ED106.  This course gave me a better insight as to how to teach students with learning disabilities.  I highly recommend this course to all instructors who deal with students who may or may not exhibit learning disabilities.

ED119 provided useful and helpful information on how to engage students in the classroom by using today’s technology.  I will incorporate what I learned into my lesson plans.

In an educational setting the students are customers, the product we provide is education.  Like any other customer the students feel satisfied when their needs/expectation are met.  Although the student is paying for the service and has the right to voice his/her concerns, in this setting the customer is not always right.   Also it is the instructor’s responsibility to deliver the highest quality of service possible.

I thought the course was a very effective teaching too.  Although I’ve been teaching for a number of years, this course provided me with new methods and techniques for managing my classroom.  Moreover, I found the information regarding the four styles of management to be insightful and instructive. It also helped me to asses my own teaching style/methods  as it relates to being a more effective instructor.

 

I just completed ED111 and found it to be very interesting and informative.  Students are more motivated and display less behavior problems if they feel comfortable and less threaten when they have some control over the learning process

I agree with you Sherry.  The course focused on recognizing various strategies on student retention, student motivation and creating ways for the student to actively engage in the learning process. i believe that this will translate into a sharper focus and better results for those of us who are charged with the challenging and rewarding task of educating students. 

Great course! All new instructors should be required to take it.
