A well analyzed, designed, developed, and then assessed program is based on instructor engagement, commitment, shared objectives and a sense of shared goals

An online course does require a greater degree of planning, and creative engagement planning. Students have to feel part of a shared learning environment, with a progression of learning, success in assessments, and tangible progress on course objectives

Highly technical healthcare, and medical topics  require deep commitment and focus from learners. How does a distant Ed instructor ensure the requisite rigor is maintained

Asynchronous instruction enables students to learn and attend to other personal commitments. This is an excellent option for students with financial and/orfamily resposibilities

Comment on Tammy Cyrus's post:

Small group research projects, and information nuggets, elevate learning. Feedback, and learning checkpoints really assist in staying on track

Comment on Julie Williams's post

Video uploads, sharing personal nuggets of learning concepts, quick discussions of current  discoveries, inventions, and flipping the class with students doing group projects are very useful

Each group member should feel integrated in the group, and provide support
