So much of my work in admissions seems second nature to me; being forthright, transparent, helpful and honest. It is really valuable for me to learn all the regulations in these trainings, and inevitably I feel inspired to learn more about my role and my school. So, thanks!

At our school we have a form that goes in each new student file that itemizes all of the necessary forms required to complete an enrollment. As we add each form we can check off the required paperwork on our admissions audit sheet so we can see at a glance whether their applications are complete, and the status of the financial aid or financial plan.

I would say it isnt scary as it is helpful. This course was a good reminder in keeping ethical practices and how to empower my staff to do the same.

Asking questions is the key to discovering hidden obstacles. If a student seems reluctant to set an appointment, find an appropriate way to explore what's holding them back. What way do you make contact in this situation?

I found this workshop very useful in breaking down the various types of goals, how to prioritize them, and how to work with your team members to achieve these goals in a positive way. I particularly liked the section on having your team create their own goals, giving them more attachment to the outcome and empowerment to create their own standards! As someone who is new to a leadership role, I have been struggling with using the data we have and implementing goal setting, so this workshop was just what I needed!

This course helped me get organized and better understand my role at this instituition! Thank you!
