Activity

I always create a daily to do list to keep me on task and organized.

Comment on Karen Bridgforth's post: I agree. I have always struggled with the students in the and keeping them engaged. This strategy is an excellent idea.

Clear expectations including grading, class content, and student expectations set on day 1 of the term helps to facilitate a successful term for the student and the instructor.

I would really like to incorporate a question base discussion board built in to my syllabus to where weekly students must post a question on the topic of the week to a discussion board and other student have to comment on at least to student questions. I think this like Socrates can enhance student learning on the topic.

I think remembering student names is important. Providing name tents for the first couple of weeks can help us to remember are students names.

Online course are a great way for students to learn at home.

I like the idea of taking notes when in conference with an angry student.

There were good ideas and strategies in the presentation for the inattentive and “center stage” students.

Good ideas on some ice breakers.

Being prepared and knowledgeable on the topic and delivering it with passion will not only motivate your student, but keep them in engaged.
