I learned that admissions professionals must stay informed about updates to institutional policies and procedures, as well as changes to Florida state laws and regulations. One effective way to stay current is through regular weekly or monthly meetings where updates are discussed. I also learned the importance of maintaining an accurate and up-to-date resource notebook to ensure information is available and reliable when assisting prospective students.

As an admissions representative, I am responsible for providing accurate and complete information, including admissions requirements, tuition and financial aid obligations, refund policies, and enrollment terms, and ensure students fully understand the information being presented. I also learned the importance of maintaining organized and accurate documentation, following the proper enrollment process, communicating clearly with students, and seeking guidance to ensure all paperwork is completed correctly and in compliance with Florida Commission for Independent Education regulations.

I learned the importance of maintaining compliance with Florida regulations when recruiting and enrolling students. The training emphasized the need to provide accurate, ethical, and up-to-date information about academic programs, admissions requirements, financial aid, student support services, and institutional policies. I also learned that admissions training is an ongoing process that requires continuous learning and staying informed about policy changes, program updates, and regulatory requirements.
