Activity

Make sure students understand that their late work in school will cost them a lower grade, but late work in a job will cost them their job. Meeting delines is more of a job requirement, then whatever the course material is teaching them.

I fond this course to be very helpful in start to flip my courses.

As the video indicates, the Program Directors, Deans, and Administration. Although we are teaching hybrid courses 50% F2F and 5% Online, they have problems with the flip. Why aren't you lecturing etc.

What is the first advice you would give on flipping a course?

We use the Canvas LMS at our school. I have been using it for hybrid courses for about 2 years. We ard 50/50. I think our students are getting a lot out of the setup. Does anyone else have similiar situation. I teach Business courses.

I enjoy the online teaching too. I have been teaching for 24 years. This is fun and brings real excitement for learning new ways and applying old methods to teach online.

How do you setup an area on your CMS for General Questions from students? Do you Chat, Discussions, email or some other method?

In our LMS, we have a section called Collaboration. In the section, I have the students work on their group assignments. One person or the entire group can work on the assignment. The students can work on the assignments from anywhere. When they are finished, they can download the Google Docs into a Word Document and upload their assignment individually for grading.

Is anyone doing something similiar?

I agree. I do the same. I always check on Venders' Labs and assignments to make sure that the time is correct. A lot of vendors assume Eastern Standard time. I am in the Mountain time zone.

Using these modes do you give quizzes or essays?
