About me

Activity

Small schools allow students and staff to become more interpersonal. This also allows the students to gain trust and respect for the staff and staff is able to encourage the students. There is more 1 on 1 time with the students to understand some of the stuggles they may be facing during class time. The retention rate is more accessible because you will tend to miss a student from class faster than in a larger classroom setting in a larger school.

Thanks

This course was very informative on lesson plans. Many things I had known but there were other things that I will implement into my lesson plans. What the students needs to know portion gave some insights on how to focus more on the student's needs. Great tools.

I have learned so much about soft skills. They are very effective is used properly. I enjoy using soft skills as ice breakers when new students come to class for the first time and use soft skills in a manner of just simply saying hello. I also have found joy in greeting my students in the morning before class with a smile and high energy. This tends to set the atmosphere for the class.

Group activities are important in learning. This allows the learners to become more engaged in the learning atmosphere  without realizing they are actually learning. During the test, they may become frozen on a question, but they remember one of the learning activities and the light bulb comes on and they remember the concept from the group activities. I enjoyed this course, it gave me new ideas in engaging my learners during diffucult lectures. I especially enjoyed the ball toss, in fact I plan on using this for a review scheduled today. Thanks
