I believe it's very important to hire diverse faculty where some may have more teaching experience and others may bring more recent clinical experience. Combining these two can result in content being up-to-date with current market trends while also being able to deliver content as experienced educators.

My biggest takeaway is early intervention. You want to assess the faculty's progress early on in their implementation. As you see areas of improvement, it is critical to relay that information to consistently deliver a high level of education. Giving different types of feedback will help the instructor improve for future courses.

Onboarding new faculty members can be stressful so it is important to segment the training for the new faculty member. Creating repository sandbox courses for the faculty to utilize and implement training can be very helpful. Additionally, ensuring there is adequate communication to answer any questions is critical for success.

Hiring faculty with current work experience in the field is vital to delivering online education. Additionally, adjunct faculty teaching loads should continuously be assessed to ensure that local regulations are being met.
