It is important to identify the needs of online students, share how they can reach out to you and have a clear syllabus outlining expectations.

Following etiquette is important when communicating online.

Staying abreast of most current technology can enhance communication and use formative and summative assignments.

I have learned that all materials need to tie in to learning objectives and, much like an APA paper, need to grab attention at the beginning of the module, have interactive exercises in the body, be brief, relevant, and to the point, and end with a summary.

I intend to focus in on engagement and a student-centered classroom environment. 

What I have learned is that it is essential to have assignments and delivery methods that align with the course objectives, whether on-ground or online.

What I have learned from this module is that when introducing new technology to a course, it is important to use a checklist to ensure it aligns with the objectives and learning outcomes being sought and that usage issues are considered upfront. We are now looking at ways to incorporate AI in courses and technology is a very important part of this addition.
