Activity

A student with a disability must be given the same opportunities as one without. Certain margins must be administered and focused.

I like to include different methods to help the students remember. Lecture, Power Points, Hands on demonstrations and learning which show results and help retain learned materials.

Meeting a class or single student for the first time, I try to make it a comfortable meeting and try for some back-and-forth conversation on subject or off. Establishing a comfortable relationship to give rules while in class and set the procedure of learning our course. We are now two (2) days in class and three (3) days remote and I find myself having to go beyond allotted course time.

I have been structuring the course headers (Modules) and points within and move my teaching along that path. I discuss our progress at the end of class, what is required of my students while away and where we will be starting on their return. Trying to keep the students aware and up to date.

I will practice the methods I have developed through the years in communication to my peers and students. Professional attitude and showing respect by always coming into class clean shaven, clothes pressed and shoes shined. Always setting the bar for my students to follow.

Everyone has a different style to relate the needed thought and physical abilities to succeed in any chosen field. Teaching the two elements of style requires the ability to aquire feedback from your students. Leaning on where they might stumble is as important as what goes smoothly. Be focused on your methods and what works within your given classroom and combination of students.
