I learned thet many instructors h ave previousl worked in the field in which they are teaching. Students should be taught employment skills training, which should be inclusive of job readiness, resume writing as well as interviewing skillls. Schools should implement great orientations programs, effective mentoring, student classroom involvement,  fabulous graduations and successful placement. All these are great qualities to enhance retention.

I learned that a dedicated  will improve retention. If the student feel they're important and that the Instructor is vested in their completion of the program and thei success. It's also very important for the students to form bonds with each other. That be achieved by the students having study groups and also serves as a support system if a student experiences a life challenge.

I learned Orientation is a key component in the retention and success of students. The more inforamed they are at Oriention the better chance themy will have at becoming graduates and sucessfully employed. Additionally, having mentors is a great tool for retention as well, because students often have life challanges and with someone to mentor them and encourage them it amy potetially keep them from  dropping out of school.

I learned that the more time to take with the potential student the better chance they may have to succeed. Use of the checklist to determine if the program is a good fit for the individual is imperative. Spend as much time as the prospective student needs to answer all the questios they may have to make an informed decision before enrolling.
