Student retention is a global concern; everyone must be involved.

Look, feel, and act the part of an instructor.  Image, presentation, and content are what the students will be affected by, so do it right!

A instructor's enthusiasm for their subject matter can be infectious; that's the goal!  Exhibit why you care about what you are teaching in a manner that draws in your pupils! 

Using empathy is a highly effective method for connecting with students.  Letting the students understand that you can relate to their experiences makes you more relatable, and helps them build connections for remembering the subject matter.

Creativity and varying methods helps retain the interest of the students.

Make your classroom a warm, relatable place.  Maintain focus, but have fun with the course!

Adult learners bring invaluable experience to the table.  Much of their life knowledge is applicable, and adaptable, to be utilized in class discussions, and will help validate their acquired skills.  Validation will help boost morale, increase relatability, and improve retention and success rates.
