In this module I learned that there are a number of components to online learning. The options to correspond with instructors and peers are needed in this space in order to have a healthy learning environment.

I have learned in this module that in order to have a successful online experience there has to be a number of components involved. Navigational simplicity is a huge one for non traditional learners, being able to easily move through the course without confusion is a plus. Also active learner centered learning is another one because not all students learn the same. Having the interactive content helps all learners meet learning objectives.

I learned in this module that having only one teaching style isn't as effective as having several teaching styles to accommodate all learning types. I learned that it is also a good idea to have several teaching styles because different learning activities could keep the students engaged in learning objectives.

I intend on using the skills I learned in this module by being myself and creating a space where students can be themselves, while keeping professional decorum. I will also create a space where students feel comfortable learning and asking for help if needed.

In order to be effective in teaching the objectives, and in order to keep track of what needs to be done, it is smart to be prepared.

I learned in this module that in order to develop as an instructor I have to take into account the different components. Identifying my teaching style and finding my strengths and building on those will make me a great instructor that leads by example, while conveying the concepts and skills to the students.
