What is important is listening to students and offering and empathetic ear. A lot of students go through personal and/or health and family issues. And sometimes an unlucky student can have all of them. If I can assist my students to help them pass the course while they are dealing with the difficult life stressors, then I feel I have mentored the right way not only to approach studies, but also how to treat others.
