I learned about the Nation Do Not Call registry (DNC) and that each state has an individual DNC registry. I also learned that violators can be fined up to $42,530 per incident. I also learned I need to register my number on this list! I learned that California is the only state that is not a member of the State Authorization Reciprocity Agreement (SARA), as such California follows their own state authorization requirements, even for distance education students. Lastly I learned that honesty is the best policy. Do not mislead to your students.
