I liked the tip about highlighted good work submitted by quiet learners to get them to engage more. I also think it's a good idea to have students who have technology difficulties (e.g. lack of internet access at home and/or lack of a device at home) to self-identify at the beginning of the course.

I've always been a fan of asynchronous communication, because it gives the participants more time to process what is being said and let's them take in the information at their own pace, so I'm glad it's mentioned in this lesson. I also like the tip about using language that builds confidence and encourages students to continue to pursue their objectves in the course in lieu of in-person contact and body langauge.

Seems useful to have students submit a bio at the start of the term and have them include a means of contact. This alone can mitigate so many issues.

I think it's a useful reminder to go back to the basics and to make sure that students know how to use the online platform.
