I have learned the importance of my tone over the phone and how it can convey information in a way that may not be taken how I would like to present it and that tone is just as important as body language when you can't see the person face to face. 

I have learned that it is essential to decide the best mode of communication depending on the person and the situation. A phone call may be more productive than an email. It is essential to take a moment and evaluate the best communication method and to prepare and plan a guideline that feels natural and not too scripted.
