About me

I am a purpose-driven educator and student affairs professional who believes deeply in the power of education to transform lives and uplift communities. My journey from Ghana to the United States has shaped my commitment to equity, access, and belonging in higher education. I earned my Bachelor of Education in Social Sciences from the University of Cape Coast, Ghana, and I am completing a Master of Science in Higher Education Leadership and Administration at Canisius University. These experiences have strengthened my understanding that student success is not only about academics but also about feeling seen, supported, and empowered.

Activity

Managers assign work to a team member and hold the decision-making power with a short-term goal, while a leader has a clear direction and long-term goals, accepts consequences and actions, inspires and motivates others, and understands and supports team members.

I have always thought that being a good manager is being a good leader. This reading has been interesting because I have come to realise while manages rely more on authority and systems leaders rely on influence and inspiration.
