I think it is indeed a good idea to add a brief bio and profile picture to the instructor's credentials. The students are given opportunity to do thesame. This helps class members  to know each other and be more comfortable.

You are right. When students know about their instructor, it gives them sense og direction and they realize someone care and is watching

This is a must course for new schools who are having hard time with enrollment and start dates.

it really did help me to understand way to go when things are slow and resources to use.
