I use a lot of power points in class lecture but I use them simply to propmt what I want to say rather than reading to my students. I also add a lot of pictures for visual learners.

I enjoyed the class on teaching medical terminology.  The games that were provided as examples seemed like fun ways to get students envolved.

Education is important, but hands on skills and practicality is also important.  We stress both of these aspects within our program.

I have found that if we play review games in class before a midterm or final, the grades of the students increase. I have started doing this in all my classes.

I teach veterinary technology and I have labs a lot of time in class for students to learn practical aspects. Some of the students really get into it and others just sit back and don't participate, and the ones that don't participate usually complain I don't give them enough lab time. Any tips on how I can engage these students more?
