Understanding models such as True Colors (TC) helps instructors identify how different personalities influence communication, motivation, and learning preferences.  No single teaching style works for all students, so being aware of these differences allows instructors to design instruction that is both inclusive and supportive of diverse learners.

I have learned that effective instructors respect their students, create a supportive learning community, and remain flexible in their teaching approach.

I have learned that multiple types of feedback from our stakeholders (such as students, teachers, administrators, etc.) are important when redesigning a course.

I have learned that feedback is important to our students.  Generic feedback can be used sometimes.  However, detailed and specific feedback is more beneficial for our students.

I have learned the importance of a dynamic syllabus and how it would benefit our students.  However, I think it would have been more beneficial if we could have seen what a dynamic syllabus looks like.

I have learned about the importance of creating a database and how this database can save time.

Keeping an updated gradebook is important because students are interested in knowing where they stand in the class.

Giving a pretest can help decide what other activities must be done in the beginning of class.

I would like to learn how to make my Power Point presentations more efficient as I lecture to my students.

Good preparation is the key for good instruction.
