Your point of contact for onsite visits should be knowledgeable about the institution, well spoken, capable of handling pressure well and someone who is typically on campus the majority of the time.

What I learned in this module is its imperative to be ready for unexpected visits. Also, these visit are not always the as a result of some issue but are routine and will probably happen a few time a year.

One of the key take aways from this module is how important it is to get your campus president involved in communication with partners/potential partners. This will help strengthen the relationship and will demonstrate how valued we as an institution find the employer and the relationship we're trying to build

A key take away from this module is when working to build employee relationships is to focus on the employer find out what they need so that you can provide. The more of their needs you can meet the more likely they are to continue to trust you and work with you.

One thing that really stood out to me in this module was the statistics on a returned call after 2-3 voicemails. Being that voicemails are becoming less and less popular I didn't really seen this them as a valuable form of communication. However, its encouraging to see they are still effective.

The five levels of employer engagement was very informative. I had not thought of employers getting so involved that they would be willing to write curriculum, or host a scholarship.

One takeaway from this lesson on preparing for a career event is the value of an elevator pitch. I plan to encourage my students to develop a speech for themselves.

I learned that its important to follow up with employers as well as students on the success of a career event.

In this module I got some great guides into budgeting for a career fair. The templates will be very helpful in planning our career fairs.

In this module I learned the difference in a general job fair, a career fair and a career expo. I also learned how it important it is to determine what your student body needs before deciding which one would be most impactful.
