It's great advice to focus on the long term job of doing a job well from the start and taking your time, rather than rushing to do that right away. It's better to do the job right but poorly, instead of doing a job poorly and wrong and then landing on doing a job right but poorly because you never set out to do it right from the start.

To fully understand material, you must be able to explain it in a way that all levels can understand it.

I appreciated the Harvard Business School professor's example of his interaction with a student and how impactful it can be. Teacher's need to be mindful of how their words and brief interactions with students can impact them. Teachers should be more intentional with their words and actions and work to build their rapport and relationship with their students.

What I enjoyed most about this module was hearing the Harvard teacher discuss helping students feel smarter when they speak in class. She emphasized that this strategy makes students want to participate more and feel more confident about what they are learning. I also appreciated how important it is to help student buy into what they are learning and emphasizing the why when starting the class, so students have the motivation to learn.
