I plan to use the concepts of self-review that are discussed in the course in my own course reflection discussion next week.

This module facilitated reflection on my performance and I am now motivated to continuously consider ways to engage students.

I used a tip from the content and invited my students to share experiences with technical issues that have been resolved in the course's ongoing discussion board.

I love the idea of organizing your time like organizing your closet.

I think it is a great idea to ask students to evaluate and provide suggestions on how to improve communication at course end. Sometimes the most simple suggestions are the most effective. After all, the student is an expert and a stakeholder.

Communication is the key to success in the online environment. Any information that can improve communication and collaboration can help instructors. I appreciate the reminders that constructive and sensitive feedback is important and that mutual respect is important in online discussion boards.

I was intrigued by the suggestion that adding hobbies can spark a conversation and relationship with students. I have always found that talking about myself would take away from the students' first place in the learning experience. However, I can see that it could be used to promote caring and camaraderie. There are many considerations in teaching as an art form.

I appreciate the course checklist provided.

What types of icebreakers do you use to engage the students, promote interaction, spur interest, and provide a sense of community?

HIPAA and FERPA are similar in their components. I appreciate and understand why FERPA allows Discussion assignments but anything that is published and is available to the public is prohibited.
