there are two types of motivators for adult learners, intrinsic and extrinsic

I have learned that students especially adult learners are motivated by security and autonomy

students can fall into many pitfalls when it comes to online learning and one of those would be procrastination and not realizing how much time is involved with an online class.    I will help provide the students with guidelines to keep them on tract.

Incorporating social networking is a good online tool for students and will implement this in my next asynchronous course.

The community of Practice is an important learning tool for students in online learning, because they can learn from other students within the class.  I currently use this in my online courses.

I've learned that not only should I assess the students online capability I should assess my own online capabilities, and will do so in future classes.

It is important for the instructor to be the guide for the course, however give other students an opportunity to comment first.  I will implement this going forward.

Students in an online course need to be self-motivates ad have good time management skills, just to name a few.  I will add this information to the syllabus.

I have learned the that in an online course there should be communication guidelines to enhance the course.  I will add these to my syllabus for future courses.

It is good to assess the technoloigy tools using in the course during the course and at the end of the course.  I will gather information from my students in future courses.
