The use of a variety of instructional methods can help students with learning and retention.
Wow! I was unaware of all the technological resources available to increase student interest and participation in a course curriculum. I will see which of these resources might improve my students' experience and discuss implementing them with my supervisor.
I agree with David Naylor....educators must keep up with new technologies to be able to communicate with their students at the highest level. This will keep students engaged in the subject matter and increase cognitive retention.

I have always taken pride in my ability to recognize my own emotions and those of others. Whether interacting with my students, or others outside the classroom. I try to be perceptive to not only to my own thoughts, feelings and language, but that of others as well and try to avoid conflict and manage the interaction so as to have a positive resolution for all parties involved.

I believe without goals we have no direction. In other words, no meaning, what are we attempting to accomplish and what results are we looking for. Goal setting helps us strive for success by using a method or path to get there and accomplish our goals.
My institution provides all students' with learning disabilities an acommodation plan, when requested, to help them succeed. I am always in tune with my students, and offer tutoring to all, with or without special needs.

Keeping students motivated to learn is a skill instructors must apply always. If you are not motivated yourself about the subject you are attempting to teach or if you are not in "tune" with your students, you are cheating your students form attaining their full potential in your subject matter.

I employ the same methods described in this module with my students. The information is correct in that student's interact better with each other and with their instructor when using group dynamics.

Body language, speech, tone of voice, etc. all play a part in how well students receive subject matter information. As instructors, we must always be aware of these things, including our moods.
No one is perfect, therefore mistakes may occur from time to time. But, I have found that acting professional in your demeanor begets respect as well as being prepared for your class mentally and physically. Also, being organized and having the proper instructional materials ready and following the course syllabus will alleviate many mistakes. From time to time a situation may arise that you haven't dealt with before and you must have the confidence to be able to resolve it.
