Activity

The diversity that we are challenged with can be quite complex at times . In three weeks we have very little time to figure out every student and there backrounds, however I strive to get a grasp of them in only a couple days and generally it seems to breakdown into different catergories. We have some students who have had previous learning and or upbrining values that are makiing the course easier to adapt to and some may be the total opposite and some in the middle of the road. The men seem to be more hands on and the women seem hesitant at first but they are fact oriented like Mr. Smith says. Once they get started they seem to get more involved

Stress as we alll know can be very unhealthy. Learning different ways to deal with stress is a benefit ,when one method may not work you can try another.

Yes sometimes we already do these things but hearing it again mekes you strive to manage better

It sounds like the key for your success was usuing different ways to communicate and get the resistors to come around.

@reneestuedemann : I do the same thing they often feel they dont need to know the things we are teaching them. Once they understand how this will benefit them in the future there attitude changes and interest starts.

Yes indeed Eurico. It definately takes an adjustment to understand todays generation. What worked great in our day often surprises us as you will find it more then likely will not be as effective in todays learner.

As the instructor we are also and always students as well. Keeping up to date with current technology is always a learning process. As we learn more we can teach more and be more effective in the classroom.

It brings fresh ideas to the instructor and students. The fresh ideas will often re energize the instructor and make him more effective

Refreashing is a great word to describe this course. I often at times wonder what the students are thinking. Learning about the different generations answered many questions about how and why they do the things they do.
