I think we all agree on the importance of planning and taking the time to learn about our audience, again, each class is different, and sometimes as much we try to be prepared, we will need to go with the flow, and keep improving.

As a new instructor, I am still learning about which style is the most appropriate to fulfill my role with my students. I noticed each class and each student is different and sometimes, therefore, I consider that one of the most important qualities we need to become a great leader is flexibility.

Maintaining control and never losing our temper is part of the professional expectation. However, dealing with adults is not easy. 

This module taught me and reminded me of useful tools to help me to maintain the correct ambiance for an efficient and productive classroom environment.

I always see a teacher as a manager. Therefore, I think the types of leadership are similar to the management styles. I think great teachers as leaders need to be dynamic and change their style accordingly to the group's needs. I am glad that I was on the right path. 

As a professional, I like to learn the best techniques to be able to inspire and bring out the best in each of my students, therefore I am planning to apply the information about how to implement the "guide" style in my practice.

Keeping our students motivated is as crucial as keeping ourselves motivated too. Having empathy towards our students will allow us to understand them better and create a better relationship where trust and respect will be the key. We motivate our students by mirroring our enthusiasm about our careers, it shows when we are in love with our field and it is contagious.

I agree

I learned about the importance to keep ourselves motivated as instructors. Tools like REFOCUS can help us to keep ourselves and the students motivated, especially in the middle of the courses, when it is hard to keep the motivation sometimes.

I like the approach of this module. I think the human factor is the key. As human beings, we want to be recognized; learning our students' names is the first step. Moreover, if we focus on each individual it would be easy to find the way to understand their needs and communicate our expectations. 

On the other hand, I think that our passion for our careers will be reflected in our enthusiasm for our topics, which will help motivate our students to participate. However, it is crucial to use our emotional intelligence to be able to learn to read each… >>>
