I learned that there my be students who do not participate appropriately for a variety of reasons.  The best course of managing them will be to follow our school system policy.  I am hopeful that the same strategies I use in the classroom will translate to the online environment as successfully as they do in person.

I agree with you on this.  It is not just the students who will need supports and ideas and to receive it in a constructive ways.  Online (written communication) can be so tricky!

I learned how important it is to be a real person to your students and different ideas for how to appropriately get to know each other in an online platform.

Technical issues were a big problem for quite a few of my students.  I see it identified as a source of frustration, but I am hoping that I will be able to gain more strategies to help students help themselves when that occurs.  I think it is important since their being able to successfully navigate can be tied to that.
