If you have a student that has PTSD or TBI, allow them get go take a small break if their stress level is arising due to a situation.  This will allow them to cool down where they will be able to focus and not get upset. Also, by letting them know that they could bring in their service animal to help them get through class, will help them improve their mental state of mind.

How to incorporate IEP's into the classroom to better serve that student.  No matter if it is allowing more time for a test or accommodating in a different area.

That TBI can cause someone to not sleep at all due to the fear of the triggered memory

PTSD can come from many various things and not just experiences from the military.

Making mistakes is human and we all do it.  Focus on your students and not your private life.

If the class size allows me, spread the students out more to try to prevent cheating.  I already have the students remove all their bags away from them and at a designated area.

When it comes to having a problem student in the classroom, I have had that a couple of times.  I try to keep them in the classroom and see why they are acting the way that they are.  If they continue to distributive, then I have removed them from my class and have written them up.

I have a couple students that are attention seeking and not really paying attention in class.  So I will be using some of the ideas of moving them to the front of the class and trying to make class a little more engaged.

I think by having the students get to know each other on the first day besides just introducing themselves and doing an activity is a great idea to incorporate in the classroom.  Massage therapy is a hands on class so if we can have the new students feel more comfortable, I believe it would help to improve their skills.  I also like the different font's and color paper for the syllabus and let the students know in advance what our expectations are.
