It is important to provide all of the tools that the student will need to be successful in the beginning. They will feel more a part of the classroom if they know what it is expected of them early on.
It may be a good idea for students to develop a mentorship program so that new students will have a go to person to talk to about concerns with the program they are in.

Orientation is very important for students to develop a connection to the college. They will get to meet people that are in their program before class starts and exchange numbers if need be.
Bills seem to cause many people stress even is that person is wealthy because it forces you to pay for something that is possibly needed and not something you want to pay for. I find that bills can increase more stress if you do not have a financial solution to that stress. I am thinking about speaking to a financial advisor.

I desire peace in my life. Therefore, before I get stressed out, I try my best to find do or find things that I enjoy...such as playing computer games. This really helps me move forward with stressful situations.
I use 3 binder notebooks to keep all classes that I teach organized. This way I can always refer to them when I need something. It also helps me stay organized especially if I have grades some papers.

It is best to write down goals, but I hear people who state that they don't have time to write down those goals. What can I tell them?

I sometimes bring in candy and throw it at a student to motivate them. Although this can be used for most children, you will be suprised on just how much adults enjoy it.
Providing a concern or excitement goes a long way with students. They are glad that you care and trully understand their concerns in the class or their personal lives. Students want to feel a part of the class and not disengaged by the instructor.
