Activity

Remind students of online guidelines for course work, deadlines, submissions.

You want to encourage participation by thoughtful, constructive feedback.

It is important for students to learn about you and your credentials and also a bio about the students.

It is important to be there for students learning topics but also trouble shoot technical difficulties so they don't give up and quit the courses.

Teaching to reach the entire audience is necessary.

Get to know your students names, make sure they have a chance to interact and build confidence in the course and the skills they will learn along with building relationships in the class.

Being prepared means showing up early, having content, reviewing the book prior to giving to student, knowing the course content and relaying this to students via course objectives and syllabus.

It is imperative to lead by example in all you do, dress, confidence, handling student situations, being prepared. Come early and be excited, have enthausiasm for your subject. Give examples from your field experience to help motivate and show students how far they have come on their journey. Don't babysit but to have expectations and don't be a pal rather someone they can count on and learn from.
