I just completed the disabilities module to better enhance my teaching skill with those who might learn differently. It was a really good refresher on some of the nuances that help and I have previously had students with physical abilities that prevented them from doing some of the physical work, but we were able to find a work around. I think it has everything to do with flexibility. Any thoughts from others who have experienced something like this?

I have had students in radio broadcasting with some paralysis which makes it difficult for them to use the equipment. Is there anyone else who has had the same or similiar situation and how did you handle it?

I find that different generations have different skill levels of EQ in different areas. Change for example, is dealt with differently across generations. How can you effectively manage that in a classroom?

I think it is fascinating how boomers interact with Gen X and Y in a classroom. They have a completely different way of learning and a much longer attention span. How are do you balance the short verses long attention spans in the classroom environment well without losing some students? I use this site as a resource for boomer info: http://www.nextavenue.org
What are some ways you work with students and the coursework that aren't directly related to their area of study, i.e. they have less time/energy put into learning the material?
