I wish my first online instructor had been thru this module. I definitely felt alienated during his class.

Engaging the learner is most important for the instructor. Many students do not like to respond in fron of large groups so the asynchronous meeting should be a great asset for them

I realize that online learners need a relationship withthe teacher just as classroom students.

I believe that to make sure that your online ability is more than just adequate. You have to be able to show your students your ability online so that they trust you and your assignments.
