I have learned that spot checks paired with summative assignments will help me to keep my students engaged, and clarify if I need to adjust anything along the way.

Intentional, meaningful feedback is a strong indicator of student success.

Scaffolding is imperative for student success.

I have learned that I will be chunking assignments by Weeks in order to maintain a consistent framework.

There may be various reasons why a student may become disengaged and it is imperative to understand what is causing the disengagement and try to encourage the student to stay on track.

Identify your avoidant, competitive, and dependent students. Make discussion instructions clear and concise, one way is with a rubric. Provide timely feedback that accelerates the students and if needing to offer room for improvement do so in a way that encourages the student not discourages them.

I look forward to engaging with my students and getting to know them personally and as student. It is important for me to understand their interests so I can best weave in their interests into the content being taught.

I have learned about the systems and the expectations of each instructor. I am eager to get into the platform to familiarize myself with the expectations.
