I believe video is still the most easily consumable media within a course, but video is passive and should be completed by more interactive solutions like H5P.

I was glad to see that problem-solving lectures are the best lecture options for online learning because I have always felt problem-solving lectures compliment assigned reading by applying the reading to a real-world scenario.

My institution recently authorized Perusal and I believe I will incorporate its use in future courses to leverage the synchronous chats/discussions mentioned in the second lesson. I believe traditional discussion are dated and have become "check-the-box" assignments and employing synchronous discussions with a tool like Perusal is a two-birds-one-stone situation - students engage with the material and in each other with a single assignment.

At this point in the course, I have the history of distance learning to be pretty interesting - similar to how long the ideas for wireless networking, cloud computing, etc. have been around. I long for the day when distance/online learning is seen as the standard rather than the alternative.
