Activity

Ensuring that our students leave our classes with improved critical thinking skills is a huge win as these are skills they'll use everyday in the real world and especially in their roles as they relate to healthcare.

I've had good and bad experiences in the past with doing group projects in online classes, but I think they were both important experiences as they provide life exepreince to work through conflict as well as provide an opportunity to connect with peers.

Some students believe tha online learning may be easier when it can actually require much more from them as they have more responsibilty on themselves and have to hold themselved acountable more than seeing a proffesor in the classroom everyday. With active learning we have to facilitate and encourage them to do their best.

Active learning is key to student succcess and soemthing I can relate to from my days in undergrad vs grad school with two different approaches and te active approach always allowing me to learn the most.

There were good strategies for classroom success shared that can help with a multitide of situations.

Synchronous and Asynchronous both have their benefits, and this helped me with understanding the right time to use both. I want to be sure my students are all engaged and have the same opportunites to connect.

To build trust and a good rapport with my students, I can share not only my professional background but a few personal things as well, so my students don't feel too removed from me.

Improving my understanding of the course platform won't only help me, but it will help my students succeed as well.
