I believe that post-secondary institutions should counsel students with learning disabilities as far as the direction they should go with a career. I do not believe that students that struggle in certain areas due to learning disabilities should be given false hope that they may be successful in a career that requires them to do things they are not capable of. 

It's important to research and understand the learning disabilities of your students so that you can better understand them and their needs.

Be patient and try to understand how student's with learning disabilities learn differently. Try to understand and figure out ways that you can help. 

-I've learned that CLASSROOM MANAGEMENT is the #1 most influential aspect in student learning.

-I've learned how important it is to always strive to be consistent, to always focus on the positive and praise students publicly. 

-I've learned to be flexible, be prepared, be consistent, to be able to anticipate situations and conditions, to bring out the best in the class, know limits, and to be sure to reflect.
