Best way to have great retention rate would be not just having great relationship with your students but being able to communicate with and having "proper delivery strategies" knowing how to speak to your students not all are the same and making them feel welcome.

This chapter help me get a better understanding of how to be more assertive and still remain being professional. though their are a few that wish to press the threshold of verbal understanding such as talking while teacher is and redirecting the class back on track.

that there are many types of learning styles for every student that we will encounter throughout our career and being able to convey a specific knowledge to that said group.

perspective is everything, to expand on that it is always important toto know the caliber of person that you are engaging with, know the future that they want is possible. being a advisor is one of the world greatest gifts as it is not power of other but the opportunity to create more equals.

strong communication skills are by far the best tools to have in your tool kit. being able to convey a thought process or even instruct copious amounts of information to a variety of people (different learning styles). but they best are known that what you are saying is getting through to them have a well-versed proper conversation.

having the opportunity to speak with the students and have common understanding and professional respect for one and other. we are giving there the knowledge to flourish, be we are also teaching them what we are expecting from them industry wide still remaining to have understanding and empathy.

there are many complex factors that come into place such as home life and school life we can only control what goes on here all we can incorporate time for listening to their situation the best tool in the tool kit is understanding and empathy.

Students sometimes don't ask questions because they don't know how to ask the question or even what the right question is. asking questions to stimulate their mind on the particular theory you are trying to instruct. The brain craves knowledge and information. also help to engage the students learning style helps to ask there questions to get them to open up in from of their peers is some time intimidating, but reward its on us to show them the right direction.

this module was many based on the experience of veteran instructors that have the opportunities to teach multiple different type of learners and in the process, they were learning different avenue's on communication, possibly hands-on. And at one point it referred to giving time by asking questions to the class and writing their answers on the board, it gives the feeling that they are being heard as well, creating a classroom that is in sync together.

keeping students on task is just a part of the lesson, understanding the unlimited reason some students are here to learn or peruse a career they must first under the thought process in their actions such as they come to learn a skill or trade, maybe having complications at home that have now created a distraction among themselves and possibly the class just communicate with them and try your best to work with them to allow them the opportunity to do there absolute best. we are their difference.
