Activity

Having to teach from home for the next two months possibly will not present as big a problem for me since taking this training.  I learned a lot of valuable information to enable me to be a better on-line instructor.  The biggest challenge I will have is the variuos types of learners.  This course was very straight forward on how to handle each type and make their on line learning more positive for all.  My plan at this point is to refer often to what I learned to be better at my on-line teaching to enable better learning by my… >>>

I know that there will be those that challenge the learning envirnoment and this module was helpful in how to handle it.  Especially the different types of learner.  I have encountered the nosiy one already.  

 

The understanding of the two types of discussion wil help me in chats and on line discussions as my course goes forward.  It is also good to hear that constructive criticism is okay when presented in an appropraite manner.  

 

That adding a more personal elelment is benefical for your students and aids in relationship building.  Also using a general chat and not having course related responses mixed in.  I am now considering doing a Chat area for my students to express their thoughts, feelings and worries about this virus we are currently home for.  

 

The importance of the structure for the e-learning.  I have taught on Blackboard previously and was reminded how important giving detailed information to students will enable thier ability to be successful.
