Using the Smart  goal method will help me with aligning all my goals and meeting the deadline

Set realist goals for students. Help motivate them by having the students write their goals and them when I meet with them I can remind them of their goals. Help the students stay motivated by myself being motivated along with them.

I like the idea about pathways thinking , that there are many routes to achieve your goals and can be helpful in dealing with students. Also figuring out what motivates students

Focus on the process not the outcome resonated with me as far as finding more extern sites and jobs for our students . I have felt very overwhelmed when I see the number of students and how few sites I have for them to complete clinicals. I will start working on the process and set more specific goals like # of calls per day and make specific # of cold calls. This may help me not feel so overwhelmed. 

I have learned that setting realistic goals for the student and myself in order to be more successful

How do I plan to apply?

Be a better listener and ask the question to the student as to their why? Why did you want to become a... Be more consistent and in from of the students.
