I have learned that chunking information is the best way to hold a student’s attention. Breaking learning up can help them focus from beginning to end without losing attention and enthusiasm. Being consistent with content delivery sets expectations. I intend to design layouts of checklist for my students for each week so they can follow allow and complete at their pace.

Really taking the time to remind students and follow up with them so that they feel included and stay on track is a must when e- learning! Responses with a 24 hour period, as the educator, is necessary to make the student still feel your presence and that they are still the priority in an e-learning environment.

For my students to continue to be engaged and excited in their learning process, I should elicit more feedback so that my students never feel that I am only giving them the bare minimum because if I set that standard, I can only expect the bare minimum from the students in return.

I learn that, not only is it important for the students to know a little about my professional background but it is also important for me to learn more about them so that I can keep their goals in mind and keep them motivated. Know why a student is here and taking my course is vital to keeping them motivated by keeping their specific goals at the forefront of their minds.

To me, structure and a clearly communicated schedule remain of the utmost importance when e-learning. I will continue to keep active communication with my students in their BAND groups that also keeps the schedule of all due dates that is repeated from their syllabus given on day one. Reminders of what work is expected each week is also important to keep all virtual learning on track and on the same page so that all students feel prepared with materials and for discussions s a group.
