In this first section, I learned that everyone is responsible for supporting a culture of compliance. Having clear standards helps keep us safe and maintain integrity. By following checks and balances, we stay compliant and operate with honesty and ethical behavior to support the success of our students and the institution.

Marketing compliance means making sure all ads, promotions, and messages follow federal rules and school policies. The goal is to give clear, honest, and accurate information so prospective students can choose the school that best fits their goals.

It is best to share the most current information, especially placement rates, and update it every year. A simple flyer from the website that students can take with them is helpful. These situations happen often, and avoiding questions usually hurts enrollments. Since the facts are on our website, we should be open about them. If the rates are low, we should review them and work on improving them.

Enrolling with integrity means that both the school and the student are honest during the enrollment process. The school should clearly share accurate information about programs, costs, and job outcomes so students can make informed decisions. Being open and truthful helps build trust from the beginning.

This module was very helpful in explaining how important professionalism is when working with students. From an HR perspective, every employee represents the school, and how we communicate and interact with students reflects our values and standards. Being professional helps build trust, ensures fairness, and creates a safe and respectful learning environment. These expectations apply to all school staff, since their behavior both in and outside the classroom affects how the school is viewed by students, families, and the community. Even one interaction can impact the school’s reputation. By showing respect, communicating clearly, and acting with integrity, employees support a positive… >>>

I learned that prevention and education are essential for building a safe, respectful campus. Awareness programs, bystander intervention, and clear communication of policies help reduce sexual and gender-based misconduct. I plan to apply this by promoting resources, encouraging dialogue, and supporting initiatives that strengthen safety and respect in our community.

I learned that investigations must be handled fairly, consistently, and transparently to protect everyone’s rights. I will apply this by staying impartial, following procedures, and helping foster a safe, supportive environment where due process is respected.

This module taught me how crucial it is to report incidents promptly and accurately, and to follow clear response protocols. I now understand that proper reporting promotes accountability and helps safeguard everyone by addressing issues early. Going forward, I plan to stay alert, keep thorough records, and respond in line with the outlined procedures. This approach will support responsible action and help create a safer, more supportive community.

Through the Title IX and WAVA training, I gained valuable insight into the rights, responsibilities, and protections surrounding gender equity, sexual harassment, and violence prevention, particularly within educational and institutional contexts. This understanding helps us identify inappropriate behavior, stand up for ourselves and others, and promote a safer, more respectful community. We can put this knowledge into action by staying informed about our rights, spotting warning signs, using available resources, supporting those affected, practicing consent and respect, and following appropriate procedures based on our roles within the institution.

I believe that maintaining a relationship with our students grounded in honesty and transparency is essential to the integrity of our schools. Misrepresenting our institution or enticing students under false pretenses solely for financial gain is both unethical and short-sighted. Education shapes the future of our community and society—it is not just about a fleeting moment or personal gratification. I recognize why so many organizations are dedicated to upholding the checks and balances within the higher education system. As an advocate for my students, it is crucial for me to remain professional and knowledgeable about the appropriate channels and resources… >>>
