Very important for the instructor to be learned in the technical aspects of the platform in order to change content at will, and be able to help the student with the technicality of the platform, which will decrease unneeded frustrations. 

Keeping the lectures to 15 minute bites; using tools such as ipad for key words. 

Greet at the door; introduce self and give a brief overview of your experience; have them do the same to get to know one another. Set guidelines, goals, and discuss objectives. 

Planning and Prep is extremely important, and the success of your class that day will be determined by your prep, ability to create and set the tone to your learning environment as students walk in, and how you warm the room either through interaction and/or gauging their level of expectancy for the day. 

You have to be able to read the room, and meet the students at their point of need. If they haven't had the opportunity to learn a skill, or don't remember something, you don't have to destroy them. Work with them, show them by example, assist them until they can do it on their own. They won't care about our knowledge until we show that we are interested in their personal growth first.
