I have found adherance to organizational policies and procedures and applyig these to the on line environment has been helpful in student participation.

I like to stay in touch with my syudents.  Currently asynchronously be emails to all and syncronchronously privately by emai, text, or even a phone call to discuss and gain understanding of their perspectives on a topic and for me to correct perspectives as is necessary.

I like to be available to my students through a discussion board, email, or text.  They are given every method I can determine so that we can reach out.  I also am available to them outside posted office hours.  As I teach their final courses, they need to be supported academically and personally.

For the student to be successful, the Instructor has to be well versed in the subject matter being required and presented.  The Instructor has to be able to answer questions or be familiar with helpful resources
