Students have access to Naviance Career Exploration. Students have opportunities for certifications such as NOCTI and MOS.

One of the challenges I find is where it fits into the curriculum as teachers have their content areas to focus on, time spent on SEL takes time away from instructional goals for the subject.

1. We implement SEL lessons on "Wellness Wednesday" through the ReThinkEd Program
2. We receive SEL training from our Affirmative Action team and are provided with additional optional SEL/mindfulness training opportunities
3. We incorporate Botvin LifeSkills Training to our College & Career Readiness Academy (Freshman Seminar class)

Social Emotional Learning is teaching students how to understand and manage their emotions, build positive relationships, and make responsible choices so they can succeed both in school and in life.
