I learned in this module that its extremely important to understand and know the requirements and policies of admissions before meeting with prospective students. Knowing how to navigate these things is essential to making sure are in compliance with our accrediting organization.

A major takeaway is also one of the most simplest, have a notepad and use it!

I really enjoyed the contextual learning definition as that defines what i try to do!

I believe i can immediately utilize the "four cornerstones of instructions in my classes. That is: Offering expertise, having empathy, showing enthusiasm and demonstrating clarity.

The instructor should be enthusiastic and passionate about their job/trade, and it will show to the student, the reverse is also true.

Students will take their cue from the instructor. The instructor should demonstrate their joy of teaching and of their subject. The old adage: "If you love your job then it is not work" applies here.

Major takeaways: See the environment form the student's perspective. Be aware of students' maturity levels and adjust accordingly.
