Even when all materials are available, students often struggle to succeed without instructor guidance in developing the skills needed to effectively manage their learning.

I learned how to differentiate teaching approaches for synchronous and asynchronous settings, using specific strategies to support student success.

Going through each student’s profile and get familiar with their background can help in online learning. Creating a more personal connection to help them feel like we are also people not just instructors.

Organization is key. An instructor must have modules, discussions, and announcements sent at a timely manner in order to ensure student success.

Keeping students engaged is the number one priority! Using different teaching method is key in accomplishing this goal. A good instructor will use various method to achieve the same result, which is student success in learning the subject.

The first impression is one of the most important interactions because it will create the tone for the rest of the time together and will be essential in creating the student and instructor relationship. This impression starts with being on time and being professional, letting the students know that you are also a person by greeting them, and being respectful.

Coming prepared and having confidence is very important in creating a professional relationship between student and instructor.

The professors/instructors that made learning easy and enjoyable for me always had energy and passion for the subject and also were very professional (the way they presented themselves) and had lots of respect towards the students. Utilizing these traits can increase my abilities as an instructor.
